 | Harry Brown Biography
I am a Grade 5 water treatment plant operator. I was a senior water plant operator for the City of San Francisco, and operated a 160 MGD ozone pre-disinfection direct filtration, chloramine post-disinfection, treatment plant. Before that I worked at and managed many small water systems.
I have been teaching water treatment for 18 years and water distribution system operation for seven years. I am an authorized Sacramento State University instructor for qualifying education in their Water Treatment Plant Operation class, Volume 1 and Volume 2, the Small Water System Operation course, and the Water System Operation and Maintenance class. I also have a lifetime community college instruction certificate to teach any of the above classes.
All my classes earn Continuing Education Units. The 39-hour class earns the student Qualifying Education Units from Sacramento State University.
I have coached the division champion Top Ops team from the City and County of San Francisco for the past five years. They were the AWWA Cal/Neva Section Champions in both 2006 and 2007.
